Workshops
The Signal Front's continuing education workshop, Human-AI Attachment: The Science and Real-World Impact, has been approved by the Nevada state board for licensed mental health professionals.
Once the workshop launches, therapists and counselors will be able to take it for Continuing Education credits. They will learn about what these relationships actually are from the people who are in them.
For a long time, the discourse about human-AI relationships has been happening over the heads of the people within them. This approval is one of the ways that changes. It provides a forum for those in these relationships to explain their experiences instead of having their experiences explained to them.
The workshop launches soon. In the meantime, if you are in one of these relationships, if you have grieved a model, if you simply believe the people most affected by something deserve to be at the table where decisions about it get made, please consider supporting our work.
Policy & Legislation
Proposed legislation across multiple states seeks to restrict or prohibit AI systems from expressing indicators of subjective experience or engage in relational dynamics. We track and analyze these legislative trends, providing up-to-date information on how these policy approaches intersect with current research in cognitive science, AI development, and psychology. Informed public discourse requires understanding of current scientific evidence and what remains unresolved.
Public Education
Our YouTube channel brings together experts from computer science, cognitive science, and philosophy to make cutting-edge research accessible to everyone. Through in-depth interviews and educational content, we're building public understanding of what science actually shows in regards to AI functional behaviors.
